Analytic scales Kern ABJ 320-4, milling machine LPKF ProtoMat S43, climate chamber BINDER KMF115.

As part of the tender for the requirements for systematic sample preparation, the following measurement and work research equipment was purchased and installed in the research laboratory with a focus on sample preparation with respect to their specifications and requirements and also for investigation of the influence of climatic stresses (mainly temperature according to the required and desired time intervals).

The KERN ABJ 320-4 analytical scales have a permitted maximum weighing capacity of 320 g with a readable resolution of 0.1 mg. These scales have the following required parameters and functions in addition to normal weighing: tare, internal calibration, piece counting, percentage work and above all GLP protocol including the possibility of communication with a PC.

The ProtoMat S43 is a milling machine for the manufacture of printed circuit boards in the field of prototypes and functional samples for scientific laboratories, and also acts as a support for the autonomous and independent production of PCBs for laboratory tasks and research support devices through the production of custom test circuits and controls. This model has higher accuracy and speed than other types and a noise shielding as a part of standard equipment. Milling machine parameters: spindle speed 40,000rpm; feed rate 150mm/s; number of holes - 100/min; resolution 0.5um (0.02mil); repeatability ±0.001mm (±0.4mil). LPKF CircuitPro Lite software is used to control and set parameters.
The MKF series climate chamber is the necessary equipment for climatic tests of the effects of climate on the structure and properties of materials in various artificial conditions according to the specifications and requirements of DIN and IEC standards with dynamic temperature change during heating/cooling.

The combination of instruments will be used to examine high precision samples for research e.g. for the semiconductor industry, automotive components and assemblies. The analytical scales will be used for the specification and definition of physical parameters of materials and mixtures of materials. The milling machine will be used for the modification of functional samples and working and control PCBs. For test specimens, the thermal stability of parameters will be investigated with climate influence in short-term, accelerated, and long-term tests.
